About Us
Mission
The Southern Regional Institute (SRI) and Educational Technology Training Center (ETTC) provide professional development opportunities for preK-12 educators, technology coordinators, school administrators, and other professionals who offer support services to schools. The overall goals of the SRI are to improve student academic achievement, organization effectiveness, employee performance, and user satisfaction. The ETTC’s goal is to offer technology training and technology services to school districts to enhance the education available to students through the creative use of educational technologies in the classroom.

The Southern Regional Institute and ETTC Consortium includes school districts and other regional organizations in Atlantic, Cumberland, Cape May, Ocean and Burlington counties. The consortium represents approximately 90,000 PreK-12 students and more than 24,000 educators.

Combined the SRI/ETTC can offer:

• Professional development on relevant subjects such as the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content areas, advanced technologies, instructional technology and computer applications
• A comprehensive public calendar of workshops
Customized training for on-site events and in-services
Coach-mentoring for individualized instruction
• A state-of-the-art emerging technologies facility and clearing house
• Membership advantages such as a Technology Lending program and an easy annual payment system for workshop registrations
• Online courses and web-based interactive presentations
• An annual statewide conference, From My Classroom to Yours
• Unique educational activities such as the 4th Grade Math Challenge
• Several workshop series on a variety of topics that lead to earning a certificate of completion as well as the traditional professional development credit hours
• Access to the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey’s School of Education and Graduate programs
Special services to member districts such as guidance and technical assistance sessions on proposal writing and applications for a variety of state and federal grant programs, purchasing technology, and professional development planning
